Hello!
The Career Center's Spring Mega Job & Internship Fair is fast approaching! Read on for a list of just a few employers who are recruiting students from your college.
This is our LAST, major on-campus recruiting event of the season, so please encourage all of your students to attend. We are expecting 90 regional and national employers. A flyer is attached--please feel free to distribute!
SPRING MEGA JOB & INTERNSHIP FAIR
Thursday, March 28
Noon-3 p.m.
West Village Commons, 4th Floor
Here is a sampling of employers interested in meeting with FCSM students for jobs and internships:
* AOL
* Defense Information Systems Agency
* Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center
* Kennedy Krieger Institute
* Lab Support
* MedStar Union Memorial Hospital
* National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
* NSA
* Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. (PII)
* Stanley Black & Decker
A few more points to consider:
* Even freshmen and sophomores can benefit hugely from attending the Mega Fair. They will be savvier and more confident at future career fairs, and they might even land their first internship.
* Employers love candidates who have researched their company in advance. Please advise students to, at the very least, check out the websites of employers of interest. They can view the list of registered employers in Hire@TU under "Career Events."
* Students will need several copies of a flawless resume. Career Center advisors can meet with students 1:1 by appointment. We also offer drop-in Express Hours from 1-3 p.m., Monday-Thursday.
* All students-but especially juniors and seniors-should wear a suit! There's only one opportunity to make a great first impression.
Thank you for helping us promote this fantastic event! If you have specific questions about the Mega Fair, please contact me or the fair's coordinator, Kacie Glenn (kglenn@towson.edu<mailto:kglenn@towson.edu>, 410-704-3224).
