Fwd: Course question

Hey everyone,

The department is thinking about offering PHYS 445 Lasers and Holography next semester depending on student interest. Let Dr. Schaefer know if you're seriously interested in taking this class.

(from course catalog)

PHYS 445 [545] LASERS AND HOLOGRAPHY (3) The wave
front reconstructions, laser, theory, the properties and
making of holograms, and the applications of lasers
and holography will be covered. Special projects will be
assigned to students depending upon their individual theoretical and experimental background. Prerequisite: PHYS
243 or consent of instructor

Best,
Zoey

Zoey and Mike,

Bob Kogan is an adjunct faculty member who has taught a couple courses for us this past year (Modern Physics and PHYS 212). His background is in optics and lasers and  is very interested in teaching a course which has not been offered for some time:

PHYS 465  Lasers and Holography (see catalog)

To be able to offer this course, we would need about 10-12 students enrolled. We need to know what kind of interest there is in taking this course in the fall .

Could you send this email out to the SPS members. Anyone who would be seriously interested (and would take this course), please send me a quick email at dschaefer@towson.edu<mailto:dschaefer@towson.edu>

Thanks,

D. Schaefer
